• Therapy with trifluridine/tipiracil can cause blood counts to become severely low. During therapy your doctor will assess the levels of white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets. In case counts become too low, your doctor may reduce the dose of trifluridine/tipiracil or have you stop therapy. 
• Patients taking treatment with trifluridine and tipiracil should immediately contact their health specialist in case they experience signs/symptoms of infection. They should keep all appointments for blood tests.
• Trifluridine tipiracil 20 mg/8.19mg can cause fetal harm if administered to a pregnant woman. Verify pregnancy status in females of reproductive age prior to initiating therapy. Use effective birth control throughout and six months after the final dose. Tell your health specialist promptly if you become pregnant. 
• Males, while on therapy and for three months after the final dose of Lonsurf, should use a condom during sex with their female partners who are able to become pregnant. Tell your health specialist right away if your partner becomes pregnant while on treatment. 
• Before starting treatment with Lonsurf (trifluridine and tipiracil), tell your health specialist about all of your medical conditions, including if you have liver or kidney problems. 
• It is not known if the medicine trifluridine tipiracil 15mg/6.14mg passes into human breast milk. Respective women should not breastfeed during treatment and for 1 day following the last dose.
