  • Dasatinib can cause fluid retention. Assess patients who develop signs and symptoms of pleural effusion or other fluid retention, such as new or worsened dyspnea on exertion or at rest, dry cough, or pleuritic chest pain, quickly with a chest x-ray or additional diagnostic imaging as apt.
  • Dasatinib oral therapy can be responsible for causing cardiac dysfunction. Monitor patients for signs or symptoms consistent with cardiac dysfunction and treat them appropriately.
  • Dasanat 20 mg/50 mg tablets may increase the probability of developing pulmonary arterial hypertension in adult and pediatric patients which may appear any time after initiation, including after beyond 12 months of treatment.
