Description

Temozolomide Capsule is an alkylating drug used to treat some brain malignancies; it is used as a second-line treatment for astrocytoma and as a first-line treatment for glioblastoma multiforme.

Dosage and Side Effects

Temozolomide should be taken orally every day around the same time, with or without food. Temozolomide 100 mg capsules should be taken whole with plenty of water. Temozolomide capsules should not be opened, damaged, or chewed.

Alternatively, Temozolomide may be injected into a vein (intravenous). Your doctor will determine the best course of action for you.

Dizziness, fever, alopecia, lethargy, vomiting, nausea, headache, convulsions, rash, constipation, anorexia, hemiparesis, diarrhea, asthenia, forgetfulness, viral infection, and insomnia are the most prevalent adverse effects of Temozolomide.
